Lead Testing Grants: Apply Now

TIME IS RUNNING OUT! Please take time to read and 3 min to complete the eligibility form.

Dear Child Care Center,

We are inviting you to apply for assistance with drinking water testing for lead. As required in CDSS Provider Information Notices PIN 21-21-CCP, all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) operating in buildings constructed before 2010 must have their drinking water tested for excessive lead levels. The State Water Board (SWB) has established an assistance program to help CCCs meet the new requirements. This assistance program is being implemented by the Office of Water Programs (OWP) at California State University, Sacramento (Sacramento State), in conjunction with the California Rural Water Association (CRWA) and the California Child Care Resource and Referral Network.

To determine your eligibility, visit the program website at https://ab2370assistance.owp.csus.edu/ and use the Provider Portal to fill out the Eligibility Form.

Per state law, infant centers (including those with a toddler component) will receive assistance first. However, if there are adequate funds to serve other age groups, additional CCCs will receive assistance. To ensure your CCC is considered in the prioritization process, please complete the Eligibility Form as soon as possible.
